30works30days encourages daily making, risk-taking and experimentation. If you are stuck in a creative rut, are looking for a bit of informal structure, or enjoy responding to a creative brief, 30works30days might be for you.
Each day in April participating artists are emailed a brief to prompt a new piece. How (or if) your daily piece of work responds to the brief is up to you. But to remain involved you must make a new artwork and upload it to the 30works30days website by midnight every day. Miss a day, and you’re out of the project.
With the time restriction of one day you may find the choices you make, the corners you cut, and the ideas that you couldn’t quite realise are as important as the work you produce.
You will be able to view other artists submissions throughout April on our dedicated 30works30days project website.

About the Museum of Outdoor Arts:
MOA is a Colorado based non-profit arts organization. We are known for our large outdoor sculpture collection that is placed in public and semi-public areas throughout Englewood and Greenwood Village, CO. The museum is supported through its ownership of Fiddler’s Green Amphitheatre, where its sculpture park, Marjorie Park, is located. The park is open for general admission and events and attracts tens of thousands of visitors and concert goers annually.
About the Design and Build Program:
Since 1991, MOA’s Design and Build program has provided an opportunity for young artists, students, and creative minds to express their creativity in collaborative art making projects. Assisted by professional artists, Design and Build participants produce exciting and original site-specific art works for publicly accessible spaces in the Denver metro area. Interns find creative solutions to practical challenges as they master the skills to transform their creative ideas into finished pieces.
The program generates temporary public art/exhibitions and offers lessons in collaborative teamwork, problem-solving, and aesthetic and technical considerations. From concept to installation, students must consider all elements of the public art process, including environmental concern, safety, budgeting, project design, proposal writing, maquette making, construction, installation, and removal. When installed, Design and Build artworks enliven the everyday life of the community.
Job Description:

We are excited to open submissions for our Spring 2023 issue, "East".
Following on the heels of our inaugural issue "North", this issue pivots one quarter turn around the compass rose, to reflect on the many connotations of "East". What is east? Where is east? What embodies east? How does the east guide us, or elude us? How do we reach the east? Does the east bring comfort, spiritual guidance, hope? What are our experiences in the physical/geographical east? When have we experienced or striven for rebirth, new dawns, new beginnings? What is awakening? And what of spring? How does the world around us awaken to, or resist, the many facets of "east"?
We look forward to viewing your work.

They Call Us is a literary magazine created by powerful people wanting to empower gender minorities.
Women’s anger carries a certain social stigma. If we vent, we gossip. If we complain, we bitch. If we get sassy, we get catty. Yet, throughout history, gossip and catty remarks have been a means of reclaiming power, from outing dangerous men in charge to giving side eye to whoever wore white to my best friend’s wedding. Unfortunately, that same anger can be directed toward each other. We were all raised in a misogynistic society and sometimes we weaponize our anger and are taught sexism to harm our fellow women. They Call Us Catty is a place for gender minorities to let out their claws, challenge the stigma of our anger, and explore the complexities of our relationships.

Serendipity Institute for Black Arts and Heritage are calling out for visual artists to apply to be part of an exciting project, 100 Black Women Who Have Made Their Mark. The project will celebrate the stories of one hundred Black British women who have made a positive change whether it be across arts, education, technology, science or community activism. 100 Black women will be nominated by the public and selected by guest panellists and representatives from Serendipity. Those selected will offer a reflection of women across a range of professions and occupations who are deserving of recognition, whether they are a familiar face on stage or screen, a pioneer in research breakthroughs or have worked quietly behind the scenes to make a positive change to their community. Those selected will have the opportunity to tell their story.
Serendipity are looking to commission five visual artists across any artform, for example; photography, illustration, painting, sculpture, however their practice must have a strong focus on portraiture. Successful artists will then be asked to create a likeness of a selection of up to 20 Black women in their chosen medium. Collectively the artworks will be shared in a citywide exhibition at Leicester Gallery from October 2024 – January 2025 and to be part of a publication and documentary short that brings the stories and art together.
Applications are encouraged from artists from the African, African Caribbean and Latinx Diaspora based in the UK and who identify as women or people from marginalised genders. Artistic styles from traditional portraiture to more experimental or abstract forms are welcome.
