Dr. Salma ElAshry is an accomplished Egyptian painter and assistant professor at the Faculty of Art Education, Helwan University, where she earned her Master’s degree and PhD in Art Education. With a career spanning over 30 exhibitions, she has established herself as a prominent figure in Egypt’s contemporary art scene and beyond.
Salma has participated in numerous exhibitions, including 12 editions of the Youth Salon, earning awards in 2014, 2016, 2019, and 2020, and the 58th edition of the Cairo Salon. Internationally, her work has been featured in South Korea, India, Turkey, Slovakia, Bangladesh, Italy, and France, where she was awarded the Gold Medal by the Asian International Art Exchange Association in 2016. Notable exhibitions include the Wamadat Exhibition at AUC’s Greek Campus and Mashrabia Gallery Christmas Exhibitions.
Her accolades include multiple Youth Salon Awards, the Artist Fahd El Hagelan Award, the Tarasena First Exhibition Award (2015), and the CIB Acquisition Award. Her works are held in collections such as the Museum of Modern Egyptian Art and with private collectors worldwide.
