Mariam Sherdy is an Egyptian visual artist based in Alexandria. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 2022 from the Faculty of Fine Arts, Painting Department, Alexandria University, graduating with excellence and an honorary degree.
With over five years of experience in art, culture, and design, Mariam has developed a multidisciplinary practice that spans painting, arts education, and interior design. She has worked as an art assistant and instructor at Bab Ashra Art Centre (2021–2023), where she taught art courses and supported creative learning. She also volunteered at the Alexandria University Hospital for Children in 2019, bringing joy to young patients and painting the hospital aisles.
In addition to her studio practice, Mariam has worked as a freelance interior designer and arts & crafts specialist (since 2018) and has served as a remote virtual assistant for a medical clinic in Los Angeles, California (2023–2024).
Her work is driven by a passion for creativity, precision, and continuous learning. Through her evolving practice, Mariam Sherdy continues to contribute to Alexandria's contemporary art scene.
