The feeling behind this work was overcoming restrictions, outgrowing frames, expanding and needing more space. There's also some anger accumulated in centuries of oppression, resistance, rebelliousness, and sense of fire - evoking thoughts of erupting volcanoes, Joan of Arc or witch trials.
