Exhibited in 2012, Backyard Play featured eight paintings of the artist’s backyard. The series was built around a puzzle, in which embedded text from each painting - or the painting titles - could be combined to assemble a quote from the movie, Wizard of Oz. “If I ever go looking for my heart’s desire again, I won’t look any further than my own backyard.
