Each bison contains ‘The Big Four’ prairie grass seeds; Big Bluestem, Little Bluestem, Switchgrass, and Indian grass. Bison participate actively in the prairie ecosystem. They carry seeds in their fur, stamp on them to plant them, and distribute them by wallowing in mud.
