Artist notes: The vibrancy of market day is a wonderful feeling at the Saturday Farmers Market on Mayen Island. I started this plein air and tucked it away for several years. Today, I added a couple of finishing touches and left the rest raw and undefined in its detail and yet fully complete in its abstract expressive energy.
