Artist notes: The portrait painting of this Arbutus tree seems to be saying “See, here we are. Just follow the trail and enjoy.” And I shall after a long pause visiting with this favourite elderly Arbutus tree because it won’t be with us for many more years. Painting these special trees is partly reverence and partly record keeping.
