Venice from Susan Moldenhauer

For Sequencing Through Time and Place, artist Wendy Bredehoft, dancer/choreographer Margaret Wilson and I occasionally travel to locations beyond Wyoming to advance our creative work together. For me, Venice was of interest in part because the University of Wyoming Art Museum has in its collection a painting of Venice by Thomas Moran. Moran, known more widely for his paintings of the American West, offered an entry point for me to think about working in Venice through luminescent explorations of light.

The Venice Construction works are mounted on bamboo.

The other works are archivally matted in white metal frames.
