Though each artist begins her work with a seemingly opposite approach - one linear and conceptual, one fluid and whimsical - together they share a deep interest in divergent possibilities found through repetition.
SERIALTY: Seriality is an exploration of repetition; moments, actions, or items that support our lives but remain unrecognized or overlooked. These images are worked in collage-based methods to combine individual components into complex objects and examine the ways in which we register psychological, cultural, emotional, and physical narratives.
though your mind may wander: The encaustic monoprints explore the emotional language of color, shape, and atmosphere, creating a dreamlike space where memory and imagination converge.
