Cocktails on the Balcony captures the engagement and energy in a gathering of people. Reduced and abstracted, the bold shapes merge, overlap, and bump up against each other across the canvas, filling the space with movement and colour. Defined and activated by loose black lines, the shapes suggest and reveal the dynamism of human interactions and the possibility of random encounters.
