- Though the title of the parasha is “Sarah” I found myself focused on what is said about Rebecca: her beauty, her sensuality which isn’t to be denied. The image of her drawing water at the well, which destined her to be Isaac's wife, conveys all that, and how Adonai made us for each other.
- There is a figure in the upper right, Abraham's servant Eliezer;
- At top left hand corner you see Hagar and Ishmael on their way out of the previous painting.
- In the overall composition of this painting, Rebecca’s face is a portal into the mystery of woman.
