CY is the symbol of Cyprus on cars and reminds me of both Cy Twombly and NY (New York)
These two drawings are meant to express my sensitivity to catch some SEA SIGNS after touring the Island!
The result is a very rich weaving of intertwined CULTURES: Greeks, Ottomans, Venetians, Romans, Arabs, Armenians, Syrians, Egyptians, Iranians...in short, a "SUMMIT of predators" that give the Island and its inhabitants that character of "Defense and Observation, almost a being on the Lookout", not exactly indicative of spontaneity!
CY é il simbolo di Cipro sulle Auto e a me ricorda sia Cy Twombly che NY (New York).
Questi due disegni vogliono esprimere la mia sensibilità a cogliere qualche SEGNO MARINO dopo aver girato l‘Isola!
Ne deriva una Ricchissima tessitura di CULTURE intrecciate: Greci, Ottomani, Veneziani, Romani, Arabi, Armeni, Siriani, Egiziani, Iraniani…insomma un "SUMMIT di predatori" che conferiscono all‘Isola e ai suoi abitanti quel carattere di „Difesa e Osservazione, quasi uno stare sull'Attenti“, non proprio indice di spontaneità!
