Vera Sorgente Cosmica, 1989

In September 1989 with my son who was just 3 months old, I moved to Berlin because Leopold insisted on seeing the bairn, in his words "Der Kleene." I was very happy by this afterthought of his. One day while visiting artists with my sister-in-law Andrea, finding myself in an open studio, I asked permission to paint and out came this mysterious figure. A stern look above made of silver lacquer, an Antenna for a nose and a scale for a mouth. Another Antenna pointing me to the keys to reach a rosy vision of my future soothed me. I am very grateful to painting because it has always helped me to see into the future, an almost propitiatory act.

A settembre del 1989 con mio figlio di appena 3 mesi, mi trasferì a Berlino perché Leopold insisteva di vedere il pargolo, nelle sue parole "Der Kleene". Ero molto felice da questo suo ripensamento. Un giorno, mentre visitavo degli artisti insieme a mia cognata Andrea, trovandomi in un atelier aperto, chiesi il permesso di dipingere e ne uscì questa figura misteriosa. Uno sguardo severo in alto fatto di lacca argentata, un'Antenna per naso ed una bilancia per bocca. Un'altra Antenna indicandomi le chiavi per giungere a una visione rosea del mio futuro mi tranquillizzarono. Sono molto grata alla pittura perché mi ha sempre aiutata a vedere nel futuro, un atto quasi propiziatorio.
