In 2004 I drove to Taormina with an artist friend of mine for an Award. In the evening walk this image greeted me from afar! A "Fiery fissure" to evoke this Serene but threatening presence that the Volcano evokes at night. We even managed to hike there! When we walked to the summit by day a mournful landscape of diversity of somber terrain invited to meditation and Prayer!
Nel 2004 mi recai a Taormina in macchina con una mia amica artista per un Premio. La sera passeggiando questa immagine mi salutava da lontano! Una “Fessura infuocata” a rievocare questa presenza Serena ma minacciosa che il Vulcano evoca di notte. Riuscimmo pure a fare un’escursione ! Quando salimmo sulla vetta di giorno un paesaggio mesto di diversità di terreni cupi che invitava a tanta meditazione e Preghiera!
