This painting is an abstraction of the word: Power
It is one of 63 paintings in the Oracle of Associated Light series. Each work begins with a single word—such as love, dominion, kindness, or power. Five paintings in the series depict the elemental forces: earth, air, fire, water, and space.
The paintings were developed through sessions of self-hypnosis, allowing language to shift into sensation. Movement, emotion, and color emerged as each word was abstracted.
The result is a record of that process. The works function as paintings and as prompts, inviting association, reflection, and discovery.
In 2023, the series was also developed into the Oracle of Associated Light card deck and guidebook.
