Created in the Pike National Forest in 2024-2025. This painting preceded Kice's Shapes of Earth series and was part of the experimental stage that led to the breakthrough. In the final stages of this work, Kice carried the painting up a rocky slope, placed it on the earth, and used the shapes of rocks surrounding the canvas to guide her compositional choices. It is a talk back to a personal event in which Kice was strongly critiqued for not being "abundantly easy," and is connected to the ideas and expectations that women are meant to make life easy for men at the expense of themselves.
