- William Dunlap
On Point is a true painter’s pulp work of one of Dunlap’s favorite subjects—hounds. Dunlap, a Mississippi-born artist, created many large-scale works in pulp painting at the different Pyramid locations. By using stencils in the shape of a dog, Dunlap could experiment with color in the foreground and background with equal play. In the Pyramid Atlantic 25th anniversary catalog, Dunlap states: “I went from agnostic to skeptic to devotee of this papermaking process. For someone for whom the touch of paper means so much, I just had to be involved. And the collaboration is something I have come to rely on.” Dunlap’s work is featured in numerous public, private, and international collections.
