Artist: Marty Ittner
Marty Ittner is a mixed-media artist who works in printmaking, encaustic collage, and installations. She has exhibited regularly in group shows in the Washington, D.C. area, nationally, and internationally since 2009. Ms. Ittner is a member of Washington Wax Works — a DC collective of encaustic artists, and makes her living as a freelance graphic designer in Takoma Park, MD.
Artist Statement
Visual language and environmental activism are essential to my work. I explore improbable pairings of ephemeral images with printmaking to evoke the natural world. This interplay reflects the impact of human presence and ingenuity on our planet.
