This piece is created using blocks that were designed on the computer, laser-cut from plywood, and then affixed to baseboard material to get them type-high. I call the blocks Wilxblox, and together they create an alphabet of shapes and symbols that are both approachable and subtly intriguing. The shapes have been designed to work well with overprinting blocks, and share common angles and forms. Color, careful arrangement and overprinting make the final pieces.
