Artist: Michelle C. Roberts
Michelle C. Roberts was born in Juneau, Alaska into a Coast Guard family who moved across the US and eventually settled in Maryland. Michelle uses her Visual Communications/Photography degree in multiple ways. Her traditional architecture/design, landscape/ nature and live music/environmental portrait photography is juxtaposed with her non traditional folk art genre that includes painting, pyrography & 2D /3D collage amongst other mediums. Michelle is married to local artist Shawn Brown and together they own and operate Whistle Stop Studio tattoo parlor in the SOHY Arts Building.
