Monk Time Suite was created in Peter's Oasis studio in Beijing. The use of the term "Monk" refers to a monk, such as the Buddha, and Thelonius Monk, the great jazz pianist. Peter imagines these great monks having a conversation and what that conversation might look like.
Monk Time Suite has been exhibited in its entirety twice at the UCCA (Ullens Center for Contemporary Art) in Beijing and as presented by Sean Scully and 447 Space in New York City. It is made up of 15 paintings, some of which have also been shown on their own.
