ADAA: The Art Show Preview from Peg Alston

Peg Alston Fine Arts brings '20th Century Masters' to ADAA The Art Show With a career as an art dealer spanning over four decades and inspired by her personal interest in promoting the work of Black artists, Peg Alston has cultivated an exemplary collection of art for the gallery's inaugural ADAA Art Show, October 30th - November 2nd. The exhibit features select works by Romare Bearden, Norman Lewis, Stanley Whitney, Edward Clark and Howardena Pinedell, who she developed relationships with early in their careers. The booth offers a significant focus on abstraction but also includes a rare and exceptional figurative work by Norman Lewis from 1945. Alston's commitment to supporting artists with distinctive signature styles is representative in this collection of artwork. Currently, Peg Alston is a member of Art Dealers Association of America (ADAA), the Association of Women Art Dealers (AWAD) and ArtTable. She was selected by History Makers for their `archival collection of outstanding African Americans.
