Seascape Amber is an encaustic painting on a 12" round wood block featuring crisp creamy whites, ocean blues and an amber shellac burn. Edges are finished in an ebony stain.
An encaustic painting is created with multiple layers of a medium consisting of beeswax and dammar tree resin. Each brushstroke of melted encaustic medium is fused with fire creating luminous layers.
