Targets, tree stumps and tree cutoffs a.k.a tree cookies and other materials such as sewing pattern pieces were part of my visual vocabulary for this body of work. Following a breast cancer diagnosis and treatment art was a pathway for expressing a range of emotions and a pathway to healing.
