This selecton of drawings celebrates both the endemic Eucalyptus found in West Australia, as well as the all time favorite across Australia, the Frangipani.
There are approximately 550 species of Eucalyptus in Western Australian flowering at different times across the seasons. In many areas eucalyptus forests
were cleared to make room for farm land.
The frangipani believed to have orignated in South America is said to have come to Australia vias the Torres Strait, with Polenesion Missionaries and the Polensian slaves who worked in the sugar cane plantations in the in the 1800's. The flower carries much beauty that also tells it own story of our history.
