My intend for this sculpture was to show how the raw wood boards get transformed into a finished sculpture. I left the lower part untouched and only carved, sanded and finished the upper part. I especially like the contrast between the rough, edgy, raw section and the flowing, shiny and smooth section. Transformation is made out of 4 layers of reclaimed redwood, laminated, carved and sanded. Finished with Linseed oil to bring out the beautiful grain and natural colors of the wood. Installed on steel base.
