Miriam's time with noted American painter, Jerry Farnsworth at the Farnsworth School in Sarasota, Florida in 1963 was a very productive time for her honing her portrait painting. In this portrait, "The Boy in the Green Jacket", you can see Miriam's mastery of color and light coming into form. Green and blue will be two colors she uses often in her oil paintings over the next few decades.
