Mimiti Anyar, meaning "New Beginning" in Sundanese, captures the profound beauty and hope of fresh starts. This artwork portrays a delicate turtle hatchling embarking on its first journey to the vast ocean, a moment filled with courage, wonder, and endless possibilities!

The piece blends abstract and realistic elements, with vivid colours and textures reflecting the dynamic energy of new opportunities, reminding us that every moment offers a chance to begin again.

This painting was created using both watercolour paint and pencils, utilising a unique layering process that combines the best of both mediums.
The paper is 300g Softpress watercolour paper, securely mounted onto a sealed wooden board for durability and a fresh look.

The painting has been varnished with a UV spray and sealed with an Artist’s wax, providing excellent protection from the elements. This also allows the painting to be displayed without glass, perfect for showcasing its beauty as it is.
