AMI is a compelling aesthetic and intellectual project. It shares the enigmatic nature of apparently simple, but utterly complex and enchanting things.
The asymmetrical biomorphic shape appeared in my sketches in 2008. I followed the flow of inspiration. After more than ten years, I began to see it as a coherent exhibition.
The AMI project is a novel event, emerging from the complicated processes that produce western visual art. It is unique, symbolic, relational and transitional.
The AMI paintings are positive, amiable companions and, I believe, icons for a holistic world view.
