ACR – Absolute Culture Relativity confronts the paradox of universal constants versus subjective perception through the mechanics of optical refraction. Capturing light as it shifts across a submerged, ochre-toned surface, the photograph translates rigid physical ground into a dynamic field of fluid geometry. Mounted under acrylic on aluminium, the work overlays real-time ambient reflections onto the captured refraction, creating a multi-layered visual field. The piece functions as a conceptual metaphor for cultural mediation—demonstrating how shared, absolute realities are continually reshaped, distorted, and reinterpreted through the fluid lenses of context, memory, and perspective.
