Flat Cubes marks a critical step in the ongoing deconstruction of the traditional cubic form. In this iteration, the standard three-dimensional cube is partially compressed and flattened directly onto the floor, establishing an immediate dialogue between the sculptural object and architectural space.
By collapsing the mass of the cube into a low-profile base anchored by remaining volumetric blocks, the works investigate how spatial intervention alters viewer perception. The series emphasises a methodology of structured repetition—introducing incremental variations in height, colour, and geometric line work to transform a familiar geometric motif into a site-responsive spatial study.
