Window investigates the historical and conceptual intersection of art, ritual, and architecture. Originally developed for a space that formerly functioned as a chapel, the work sits directly where an altar once stood—reinterpreting a historic site of sacrifice, worship, and spiritual threshold into a contemporary apparatus for visual contemplation.
The sculpture operates as a metaphorical opening: a window bridging physical space with psychological and critical reflection. Composed of geometric PVC volumes coated in smooth polyurethane paint, the four vertical forms deploy a colour palette inspired by the changing tones of the sea. By substituting traditional sacral forms with industrial materials and hard-edge abstraction, Window frames art itself as a vehicle for internal dialogue, spatial awareness, and philosophical debate.
