The artist coiled natural fiber and stitched it with thread and sinew. The form folds back on itself, moving from space toward object. The rim becomes a structure rather than an edge. The piece holds no object, only its own tension. Stark works by repeating simple actions—coil, stitch, bend—until the material sets its final shape through resistance and gravity.
