The inspiration for this work was gathered branches, coiled with sweetgrass and waxed linen thread. A shallow bowl, plate, or ladle rests on improvised legs and props, shifting among table, tray, and shelter. Yellow sinew marks joints and edges. The piece is modular and reconfigurable, asking how support, balance, and usefulness emerge from simple materials and temporary decisions.
Lunch explores the simple, everyday act of gathering and sharing nourishment. Coiled sweetgrass wraps around found willow branches, bringing together cultivated craft and the irregular forms of the natural world. The work transforms humble materials into a vessel-like object that suggests both tableware and shelter. Through its organic curves and earthy textures, Lunch reflects on connection—to land, to labor, and to the rituals that sustain us.
