Heat Flash is a painting with layers beneath. I had the background waiting for a subject for over a year before I added the character.
The Yellow beam of HEAT coming from the head is actually part of the background, as well as the reverse splatters against the black. The rest has been painted over and a character added.

She's looking a bit INTENSE!
