Field Above is a beautiful and serene abstract painting that captures the essence of a secluded field in the Catskills. Lesley rides on her bike the back roads of her house with her plein air paints. The artist was inspired by the natural beauty of the area and felt compelled to create a larger, more abstract interpretation of the scene. The artwork conveys a sense of peace and tranquility, with soft colors and flowing lines that evoke a feeling of being in harmony with nature. The unique process of creating this artwork involved starting with a plein air watercolor study and then translating it into a larger oil painting in the studio.
