Putting Down started from some drawings of photos of people falling off a bull ride simulation at a street fair. I loved how the photos and drawings caught the movement of losing balance. There was certain expression of terror on the people’s faces. I painted on rice paper with watercolor inspired from the drawings. I combined the figures to a Encaustic Collage and then encaustic paint.
