The SPRUNG series (6 works in total) jumped into form one night in 2022 after seeing an incredibly inspiring Cy Twombly exhibit at The Getty Museum. Working in a series never interested me up to this point, nor did working small, but I still physically feel the wonderful whirlwind of energy (scroll down for video) that wrapped around the making of these pieces and am very grateful for that experience. The series was exhibited at the end of the year in another solo exhibition, "MOMENT TO MOMENT", in Long Beach, CA. Piece by Piece was once again my special guest, and created a stunning mosaic artwork based on one of my paintings. I also began working with cold wax medium (CWM) combined with oils.
