Collaborative diptych with South Los Angeles based mosaic arts nonprofit Piece by Piece (piecebypiece.org).
Each panel of this diptych measures 36"x72"x1.5", and can also be displayed separately and vertically. Textures and varying sheens were built with multiple layers of acrylic paints and mediums, with glass mosaic overlay in select areas by artisans of Piece by Piece in downtown Los Angeles. Purchasing this artwork will directly help support Piece by Piece and the important work they do in South Los Angeles. Their mission for over a decade has been "to provide low-income and formerly homeless people free mosaic art workshops using recycled materials to develop marketable skills, self-confidence, earned income and an improved quality of life."
