Beneath every surface lies a structure waiting to be revealed. Through burial and excavation, fragments of colour and form are gradually uncovered and brought back into relationship with one another. Each exposed layer acts like a bone lifted from the earth, contributing to a larger structure that slowly takes shape. The painting evolves through this act of gathering and reconstruction, allowing the landscape to emerge not as scenery, but as something living, remembered and reformed.
