Working on tin has a special place in my heart because of my work with my mother and hers with her mentor Charlie. It is very labor intensive to simply create the panel, from the cutting on the metal shear to the corner notching to the folding on two different bending brakes. Once the panel is created it is acid washed, dried, steel wooled, and spray coated. That all happens even before the painting happens. When I paint, I allow the "controlled accidents" of the water washes guide my plans for the image. I am sharing a few of the process images, along with some mockups of interiors so that you can get an idea of how they look in a space.
