This mammoth bison skull was beaded while on vacation in Baha California, MX in winter of 2024. Honestly, if you know anything about Minnesota, you know that escaping the winter months is almost a necessity. As I have begun practicing for retirement, I have started spending a few months in Mexico to escape the snow, ice and frigid temperatures of my home state. But, I can't go for too long without beading, so I brought a few large bison skulls down with me this year. Oddly enough, because I drive, I did not get questioned about my cargo of skulls at the border crossing.
Claude is named for the Travelore Embellished Broach featured at the center of the design. It is a Claudina Orange Butterfly, and I loved the rust and copper colors that coordinated so beautifully with all the surrounding Czech glass beads.
