Earthy, gritty abstract work with loose, layered marks and areas of raw surface. Made through an intuitive, trusting process, the painting embraced imperfection and resisted overworking or correction.
In making this work, I was also working through ideas around trust, acceptance, and letting go of control. It reflects a broader shift in how I move through life — learning to recognise when something is enough as it is, rather than needing to fix, improve, or resolve it. A practice of allowing things (and myself) to be imperfect and still complete.
