One of the few Welsfords that I have in this room and in the hotel. This is definitely Ramsgate as you can see the red roof lighthouse at the end of the pier

Alan Welsford

b. 1935

Alan Welsford (b. 1935) is a British painter, sculptor, film artist, and educator known for his contributions to mid-20th-century art. Born in Hainault, Essex, he embarked on his artistic journey after completing national service in the Royal Air Force. Welsford studied painting and sculpture at Walthamstow School of Art from 1956 to 1959 and continued his education at the Slade School of Fine Art from 1959 to 1963.
