For this piece, it was important for me to create a narrative where sensuality and spirituality are not seen as two dualistic contradictions. Instead, they can exist with one another cohesively. I wanted to marry the idea of a spiritual procession-- where the figure is advancing in this body of water in a ceremonial manner, surrounded by apples.
