Equilibrium is a lamp designed to showcase the irregularities that happen when melting recycled plastic. The plastic is collected from a network of local households that donate their plastics to the studio. The plastic is sorted, shredded, and extruded over a programmable moving table to make the lamp base. Each lamp base is unique due to the reclaimed material and process although they share the same code.
