This a very small magnetic painting created as one of eleven works. In August 2020 I made twelve of these small works and send them to friends who were experiencing lockdown. I wanted them to know that my thoughts were with them and that by looking up at the same sky, we could remain connected and feel closer to one another. Three years later when visiting these friends I notice the painting is still in their kitchen, often on their fridge door. It is a reminder of how art has the power to communicate and comfort at times of great stress and separation.

I then went on to create another eleven works of a similar fashion, hoping to send these as well. But the pressures of work took over and so they remained in the studio. Now I can share them with you as reminders of the power of the sky as a symbol that holds us all together, as one.
