This small garment is meant to depict a child’s coat. Sculpted with wire and remnants of baby blankets, this piece is inspired from a project Segre worked on with colleagues at The Egg, her studio collective in San Francisco. They cut and knotted baby blankets that later were sent to Tijuana, Mexico where children were being detained while waiting entry to the United States.
