Resting Form presents a single volume of hand-carved sandstone, its smooth, matte surface revealing the warmth of the stone’s natural hue. The form’s soft curves suggest erosion by wind or water, yet its precision betrays the guiding hand of the artist. The piece rests on a slab of unpolished bluestone, its cool gray surface and subtle veining providing a visual and textural counterpoint to the sandstone above.
